Dharav High School hosted an inspiring environmental education programme on April 22, 2022 to raise awareness of what can be done to conserve the earth. Dr. N.K Gupta, a renowned Horticulturist and Dr. Tej Pratap Singh, an eminent Soil Scientist from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chomu, were invited to upskill students on how to take care of the blue planet.
Dr. N.K Gupta addressed the students to foster awareness of the therapeutic values of medicinal plants in our daily life. He demonstrated a few medicinal plants which can be grown easily in the hot and dry conditions of our state. Dr. Tej Pratap Singh demonstrated how to convert bio-degradable waste into manure with the aim of keeping the environment free from waste and obtaining nutritious organic manure thereby increasing the productivity of our soil.
The school Principal, Seema Sehajpal exhorted the students to be aware of their responsibility towards environment conservation and encouraged them to join hands to get into action in protecting the planet.
