Students of Dharav High School had an enriching opportunity to interact with Mr. Inder Sandhu, a TEDx speaker, author, and advocate for animal welfare. The event also featured Ms. Santana and Ms. Shreedhara, advocates of humane animal interaction. Together, they delivered interactive sessions that enlightened students about suitable pets, ways to prevent cruelty against animals, how to interact safely and compassionately with both pet and stray dogs. They also educated students about the roles of animal shelters and the importance of volunteering to help stray animals.
Storytelling session in classrooms further engaged the children, teaching them the value of compassion through tales about animals. These sessions focused on fostering empathy and educating students on building positive relationships with animals.
