"Diwali celebrations are an excellent opportunity to teach students about Indian culture and values. They promote unity, teamwork, and creativity."
Diwali, the festival of lights that enlightens hearts and brings joy to all, was celebrated at Dharav High School, Jaipur, on 25th October 2024 by the students of Pre-Nursery to Grade II. The amphitheatre was decorated in vibrant hues, and the school had an ambience of joy and happiness everywhere.
The assembly began with a prayer highlighting the message of Diwali and invoking God’s blessings. The news was read by a student of grade II, and a beautiful thought of the day on Diwali was shared. To explain the importance of the festival, a few lines were spoken by a student of grade II. Melodious poems were recited to mark the occasion.
Through a skit, the students conveyed the message of celebrating a Green Diwali by using eco-friendly decorations, avoiding crackers, and showing kindness to animals. This performance underscored the purpose of enjoying a Diwali that does not harm the environment or our animal friends. The assembly concluded with a dance performance by the students of grade I.
Our Principal, Ms. Ritu Sharma, delivered an inspiring message, urging students to celebrate a clean, peaceful, and green Diwali. She emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices and reminded everyone of their role in protecting nature and animals
