The students started with a thought that highlighted the spirit of the festival. They highlighted the importance of the festival in today’s world by explaining the ten heads which were the symbol of ten vices still prevalent in today’s world like anger, ego, violence, etc. that the students vowed to destroy along with Ravana, which can only exit through control of the senses. A poem was also recited on this auspicious day to remind us of the fact that truth always wins and to motivate all to follow the path of dharma.
