Mind, Body & Soul Together - Yoga Day : Pre Nursery to II

Yoga is a practice that has been around for centuries and has gained immense popularity in recent times. It is not just a physical exercise, but a holistic approach to wellness and self-care. Every year, on June 21st, people all over the world come together to celebrate International Yoga Day. This day is dedicated to spreading awareness about the benefits of Yoga and promoting a healthy lifestyle.  It helps in improving flexibility, strength, and balance. Regular practice of Yoga can also help in managing stress and anxiety, and promoting relaxation. There are different types of Yoga, each with its own specific benefits. For example, Hatha Yoga focuses on physical postures, while Kundalini Yoga focuses on breathing techniques and meditation. Regardless of the type, Yoga is an excellent way to take care of one’s physical and mental well-being.
Keeping in mind this landmark event a yoga Session was organized for the students of classes Pre Nursery to 2 on 13 July 2023 in Abhivyakti at Dharav High School, Jaipur. The instructor Dr. Sunita Agnihotri taught the students different yoga asans and encouraged them to continue this healthy lifestyle. Students enthusiastically participated and radiated a sense a peace and tranquility.
The celebration of this day highlighted the
importance of yoga in promoting health and well-being and our young Dharavites enjoyed celebrating such an important day.
The Principal, Ma’am Seema Sehejpal, appreciated all the students for taking part in the yoga session with great enthusiasm and discipline. She was glad to see that all the kids used the session very carefully and made the most out of it. She explained to the students that yoga is a great way to stay healthy and wise. It has the power to change our lives positively. She encouraged them all to make yoga a part of their daily routine.”
