Field Trip to Wax Museum, Nahargarh : XI-XII (Humanities)
‘A change in latitude often leads to change in attitude.’
Dharav High school, Jaipur, arranged a field trip to Wax Museum, Nahargarh, for the students of class XI and XII (Humanities) on April 28, 2023 with an aim to refresh and arouse intrest in them in history learning.
Jaipur Wax Museum is the only wax museum situated in a heritage palace. It houses more than 32 wax and silicon statues. A one-of-its-kind section of this museum is Sheesh Mahal or the Palace of Mirrors created using more than 2.5 million pieces of glass in different colours. An exclusive area earlier known as Vishraamghar (warrior’s rest area) has been re-designed to resemble a charming royal courtroom from the 18th century.
Educational trips are among the most prominent tools of learning. A field trip is one of the best tools that we can use to provide every student with real-world experiences. When students leave the classroom, they see the connections between what is happening at school and in the ‘real-world’. They begin to see that what they learn within the walls of the classroom can help them solve the problems they see in the outside world and can have a direct impact on who they become as people.
