Get Set Fit- A Balanced Diet Platter: Grade IV

“To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”
Young students of Grade IV laid out Balanced Diet Platter in a competition ‘Get Set Fit’ held on Thursday August 25, 2022. The competition was planned to make them understand the meaning and importance of a balanced diet for a fit body and strong mind. All the students in groups took part very enthusiastically in Preliminary Round where they brought food items of cuisines of different states. Students showed their creativity in displaying the items which included soup, salad, dessert etc. They presented it beautifully and ensured proper hygiene too. Best two groups from each section were selected for the final round which was judged the Principal, Ms Seema Sehajpal and a guest parent who is the co-owner of a virtual restaurant Masala Mistri. She started it during the COVID times and is running successfully because of her knowledge and experience in cooking.
Principal ma'am appreciated the efforts of the kids and motivated them to follow balanced diet. She told them the importance of hygiene and colorful platter also. Active and mass participation of the students help them understand the importance of a good diet making us achieve our goals.
