“All students must be healthy to be educated, and be educated to be healthy.”
With the aim to steer the young minds towards adopting a lifestyle with healthy habits, ‘Health Week’ was observed from July 18 to July 22 at Dharav High School. The students were encouraged to meditate, do yoga and participate in various physical activities to energize their body. To raise awareness among the youngsters, assemblies were conducted on the topics ‘Eat Right Stay Healthy’ and ‘Mental Health & Well-being.’ They were briefed about the importance of maintaining balanced diet, thus incorporating fruits, green veggies and whole grains in their meals.
As a part of developing self-care strategies, First-aid boxes were made by the students for their respective classes. The teachers guided the students to prepare ORS solution and know its importance. Students also wrote slogans and made balanced diet pyramids to exhibit their understanding about healthy habits.
The Principal, Ms. Seema Sehajpal appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to exercise regularly and follow healthy eating habits.
