Every year, Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April to remind the students of their duties towards ‘Mother Nature’. Students of Dharav High School, Jaipur celebrated Earth Day by reciting poems on our EARTH in the classes. Children learnt the importance of preserving the planet Earth. A myriad of activities were conducted in the classes. Students expressed their ideas by creating beautiful crafts on Earth Day. They also spread an awareness of three different coloured dustbins and their proper use through the posters. They promised to protect the Earth from pollution and to alter their habits to save water. Teachers shared easy to implement ideas to reduce water wastage and explained the importance of planting of trees and the need for everyone to put together their efforts and get into action, in protecting our environment. An assembly was conducted on Earth Day to reinforce these pointers among the students.
